16 Months and Counting

Brayden is getting more and more words all the time and I wanted to document it before he grew up and I forgot. Many of them start with the letter B: baba, bath, bus, blue, ball, and bye bye. He also knows down for when he wants to get out of his high chair, apple and outside. Oh and dada and papa. (Nothing on the mom/mommy/mama front yet). And how could I forget - his favorite - BO! (Elmo)

We recently got blocks with letters and pictures on them which we've been playing with for the past few days and now he knows a few letters - he recognizes the letter O when he sees it and can say O. The others he needs to be prompted for but can repeat - F, E, and B.

He still loves to play outside, especially golf. Sometimes he makes contact, sometimes he just swings. I'm kind of dreading the winter, because he's become so used to playing outside that he's not going to understand why we can't go out. I guess we'll deal with that when it comes...

We stopped swim lessons for the summer since we figured he'd have plenty of time in our pool, but we plan to start up again in the fall and see some of his swim buddies that he's been missing.
