First Word?

So we're pretty sure that Brayden's first real word is juice. We've been saying juice every time we offer it to him and he started saying it back so we are thinking he knows what it is and it sounds a lot like it! I guess there's a good chance that he's talking about something completely different, but we're going with juice is his first word for now!

Valentine's Day

I'm not one that's big into Valentine's Day but when Whitney suggested that a group of us go out to eat, I thought that sounded like a great idea. It was us, Whitney & Luke, Colton & Aaron, Lizzy & a dumb boy that backed out on her at the last minute :( We went to Fusion Fire and had a blast! Lark and I had the hot pot and everyone else had sushi, but we all enjoyed the food and the company :)

Elmo

Elmo has become Brayden's favorite. He loves to watch Elmo and has quite a few Elmo toys as well. So when we heard he was coming to the Harrisburg mall, we knew we had to take him. We got to the mall around 10:15 and got in line for Elmo, who was coming out at 11:00. Even though we had to wait a little while, it turned out to be the right move because we were first in line and guaranteed to meet him (he was only coming out for a half hour). When he finally did come out, I took Brayden over to him and he was thrilled! He tried to hug him even though he was so big and we got a picture before the rushed us off so they could get to the next kid. I think I was probably more excited about it than him :)

Backyard

We've begun work on the backyard... and by we I mean the people that we've hired. They had to dig out all of the old pavers and ground up to the house. After that we had a door put in where there was a window so now we have access to the backyard from the basement. They flattened out the area all around one side of the pool and put down the rock. Now we just have to wait for the weather to get a little warmer so the earth won't shift much and then they'll put down the pavers and finish up. Getting anxious...

Oh Work...

Just read in my last entry over a month ago about the award I won that are being shipped to me. Funny this is - they still aren't here! They have gone missing and apparently no one can find them. So after getting no bonus at all, now it's looking like I'm also not going to get my awards either. What a slap in the face for as well as I did last year.
